  • I Love You, But No More,

    By Jolie Lives
Jolie Lives (Beauty Lives)-1/1/18 It’s still the first of the New Year, actually the first day of it. Making writing the correct year, still difficult! Especially when listening to “Je taime mais non plus” remind me of being a child and listening to this song, frequently, in our actual Log Cabin, In The middle of nowhere, surrounded by forest. Adjoining Audubon Society’s Land. With a Private Hunters Cabin, at the very, very end of a dirt road, that climbed a mountain. The road wasn’t maintained and was at it’s Best, during the Winter! It was an incredible road to sled down during the days, then go inside, drink got chocolate, while sitting in front of a roaring fire, listening to this Music. This Song especially, brings back some of the few good memories, from a difficult childhood. Which was even better, when we lived in many different Countries, throughout Europe, for a few years. This and many more songs like it, were played on the car’s radio, especially when we were in Country’s, close to France or whose primary language was French. Such as the French speaking Cantons (sp?) in Switzerland, where I walked on Black Ice, over frozen fjords and learned to ski (at 5). This Music is So Much More Then Music, it’s Visceral, honestly, seemingly Tangible. Though, like a perfect and exquisite Butterfly, you don’t want to actually touch it, for fear of destroying it’s magical wings. As when listening to this Music, it’s easy to imagine yourself on the back, of a giant Butterfly or a Beautiful Moth, traveling anywhere you want to go. To places that may only exist in your own imagination! Never cold and always without fear. It’s Exquisitely Beautiful, at it’s Best and Most Perfect. It’s as close to a Heavenly Experience (Regardless Of Religious Beliefs) or actually being inside of your perfect dream, as you’ll ever have, during your life. It’s Timeless Music, that you’ll never tire of listening to, Music that will still be considered Beautiful, long after the Cell Phone’s no longer necessary or is considered as modern as the rotary phone was in it’s hay day. If you listen to nothing else, on whichever Source you use to Buy your Music or Apps, please, do yourself a grand favor and listen to this Album. Serge’s voice is sensual, fulfilling and will take you on Journey’s and Adventures, that will serve as the basis for planning future adventures or remove the “im” from impossible. His voice is that incroyable, c’est tout .

  • Bridgitte Bardot

    By Le Pomplemousse Rose
They neglected to credit Bridgitte Bardot, she's the female vocalist in these duets.
  • Must buy

This album is a beautiful collection of work. My favorite song will always be Je t'aime, as it is so timeless and sexy. I must say the companion cd has a great rendition of La chanson de Slogan (I call it art) by the Kills. Didn't think it could beat the version done by Blonde Redhead, but I stand corrected.
  • Bonnie and Clyde

  • Lovin Bonnie and Clyde!!!

I first heard Bonnie and Clyde in Laurel Canyon and was instantly spellbound!
  • A very great artist

    By Gubben57
Serge Gainsbourg had a big international hit with "Je t'aime moi non plus" and unfortunately for myself it was many years before I got the chance to listen to one of his albums and I was just blown away. The following years meant digging through the international music bins at Tower Records to buy CDs as soon as they were released to the American market. If you are at all open-mined buy this great collection of his songs but be warned his music is addictive and his forays into jazz and blues is just as good as what is here.
  • Great song for your collection

I heard this song as part of the Rush Hour 3 movie, and absolutely thought it was awesome, and has a very smooth and as the previous poster said, infectious feel about it. Buy it! JP
