This album is just amazing! I think I’ve listened to the “On the nature of daylight” track for a thousand times! Max Richter is a genius.

I've been constantly listening to this album and love every note. This is incredible and I look forward to finding eveything he does in the future.

Anytime you turn this on makes you pause and get spirited away.
  • Beautiful but all the pieces are similar

Is it me or does he use the same 4 chords throughout most of the album? Beautiful interpretations of the same chord progresions but after a while it wears thin
  • Wow…so classic.

Still one of my favorite composers of all time. I am sure a lot of people are now finding him from the movie “Arrival” and that makes sense. I will say that most of his work is phenomenal and his album/project “Sleep” is his Magnum Opus. Enjoy, and dream on. -j
  • Do you have ears?

If someone has ears, then they should listen to everything. But if someone has real ears, then they should listen to Max Richter. Who doesn’t love his work, full of feeling and passion beyond that which I have ever heard in, say, a Sigur Rós song. I feel that’s a high complement for someone so under appreciated. This music gives me feelings that I don’t get on my own. Any neoclassical music lover should own at least one of Richter’s spectacular emotional journeys–purchase a copy TODAY.

A very engaging compassionate rendering. Feeling like your being taken away. Amazing strings combined with smooth movement and spatial awareness make this music truly come to life.
